Quick answers about walk-in service, hours, documents to bring, same-day plates, E-ZPass and insurance at our Bensalem office.
- Is Bucks Auto Tags a PennDOT office?
- No. Bucks Auto Tags is a privately owned PennDOT Authorized Messenger Service, not a government agency. We are authorized to process titles, registration, plates and related transactions at our counter in Bensalem, and a service fee applies in addition to state fees.
- Do I need an appointment?
- No appointment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours at our office at 2856 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020.
- What are your hours?
- We are open Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 12 PM to 5 PM. Call (267) 500-9771 to confirm hours around holidays.
- What should I bring for a title transfer?
- Bring the properly signed title, a valid photo ID, proof of Pennsylvania insurance and payment for state fees plus our service fee. We review all documents before anything is submitted to PennDOT.
- Can I get license plates the same day?
- Yes. For most title, registration and plate transactions you leave with your Pennsylvania plate and registration card the same visit instead of waiting for mail from Harrisburg.
- Do you sell E-ZPass?
- Yes. We are an authorized E-ZPass retailer. Walk in during business hours, pick up a transponder and drive out ready for the Pennsylvania Turnpike and most East Coast toll roads.
- Can I get auto insurance at the same office?
- Yes. Bucks Auto Tags also writes auto insurance and other coverage at the same Bristol Pike counter, so you can register a car and insure it in one visit.
- Can you handle a boat or trailer title and registration?
- Yes. We process boat title and registration and other PennDOT paperwork, including duplicate titles, registration renewals and tag transfers.
- What are in-transit tags?
- In-transit tags are temporary plates that let you legally move a vehicle you just purchased before permanent registration is completed. We issue them at our office.
- Do you work with car dealers?
